It’s Cinco de Mayo 2014 at the Hollow!
Join Julianna “La Patita” Thomas & Derren Davidavich of District 19 Flamenco for an evening of fiery flamenco performances with special guest Kelli Brown and some of the finest handcrafted ales in the Northwest!
Curious about the Flamenco Dance and what you will experience? Flamenco, demanding in form and execution, gives the disciple extraordinary ability to express that which is innate to our shared human condition. Through this beautifully unique and technically impressive musical art form, Julianna and Derren seek to present something which will both challenge and inspire, using the power of music and dance to explore the depths of human emotion.
It’s all happening on Monday night Cinco de Mayo 2014 from 6 to 8ish. It’s a free show for all ages.
We’ll even have traditional Cinco de Mayo food available – chicken street tacos with charizo fried rice and refried black beans along with some really cool sauces.
Where else would you want to spend Cinco de Mayo 2014 other than at Highlands Hollow experiencing traditional flamenco song and dance? We thought so…. See you there!

Pints for Pete in Boise!
Join cities across the nation in supporting “Rewriting the End of ALS” in the Pints for Pete event.
Pete Frates is the inspiration for this great idea to bring awareness to everyone on what ALS is and how we can end this disease. Wondering who Pete Frates is? Well, he is your everyday good guy who played division 1 college baseball and had a normal life until things started slowly changing for him. You can get all the details on Pete and his inspiration by watching this video here .
Frate Train members across the globe will be organizing locations at their local pubs to meet up, have a pint and raise awareness for our mission to strike out ALS. Help Boise make it’s mark towards denying ALS further victims by coming down to Highlands Hollow Brewhouse on Thursday evening May 1st, 2014 from 6 till close and have a pint with friends, share some great music by Steve Baker and allowing a part of the Pints for Pete proceeds go towards reaching our goal of $100 minimum.
You can follow our progress towards our $100 goal (we should be able to blow way past that people) here at the official Boise Pints for Pete webpage.
There’s even a website to learn all about Pete personally at http://www.petefrates.com/
While in the spirit of supporting a great cause, don’t forget to visit us in the Bogus Basin parking lot starting at 4 pm for the Idaho Gives Mini-Rally. We’ll be serving some nice and tasty brews to get everyone excited to support all the great non-profits in Idaho. You can learn more about Idaho Gives by clicking here.

Dan Tedesco Coming to Highlands Hollow!
What a treat we have here at the Hollow….. Straight from Nashville, we are honored to be hosting solo artist Dan Tedesco on Monday night April 14th, 2014 from 6:30 to 9:30. Not only has Dan been labeled extremely talented and intensely original, but is also a modern-day troubadour, narrating the American experience in song honestly and intimately, and with a big sound to boot.
You’ll love Dan’s ability to thrive as a minimalist production that finds him belting out folk-spiced renditions from behind both acoustic and electric guitars while foot-stomping percussion rounds out many of the arrangements. Dan is one solo artist who won’t seem out of place with rock bands either.
Dan’s latest album is titled “Death in the Valley” and focuses on themes concerning the recession, isolation, identity, control (or a lack thereof), responsibility and most importantly hope. You can learn more about Dan Tedesco at his website www.DanTedesco.com
You won’t want to miss Dan Tedesco playing at the Hollow and you certainly don’t want to miss a enjoying good food, good beer and hanging out with good friends. We’ll see there!
