Highlands Hollow, which is commonly known as “The Hollow,” was coined by locals and has continued to be a North-End Boise favorite for over a decade. Locals and athletic enthusiasts are not the only ones to enjoy our hand-crafted ales and homemade food. People travel from miles around who are itchin’ to get their fix of this unique restaurant. Something (we hope) will always bring you back to us; whether it is the friendly staff, the homemade food or our unforgettable ales.

Our staff is made up of experienced restaurant folks dedicated to providing quality service and an upbeat atmosphere. The Hollow is perfect place to bring the family or to meet up with friends on any occasion. No matter what the circumstance, you can always expect a warm welcome.

Our food is prepared fresh everyday, our fries are even hand cut!  The dressings and sauces on all of our dishes are made from scratch along with daily chef specials and a large menu that should fulfill any appetite.

Along with friendly service and homemade food, are Jim Fishwild’s signature beers. Jim perfected the recipes that Chris Compton has now taken the helm for to eagerly brew the highest quality of beer. Since we have a wide array of different ale recipes, we have no doubt that at least one of our beers will fill your fancy and keep you coming back for more.

The Hollow is not afraid to throw a party with live, local music from time to time. We have our summer annual “Deck Party” where we enjoy entertainment from “The Rockin' Hippies”, “Pinto Bennett” and “Farm Dog” just to mention a few. Our October Fest would make any German proud as we dance, drink, and sing with “Boise's Edelweiss Band”. We also celebrate in the spirit St. Patty’s Day, Halloween and New Orleans’s Fat Tuesday.
